CSC LAUNCHED BENEFICIARY REGISTRATION SERVICES FOR DIVYANG THROUGH ALIMCO
Documents Required for Divyangjan registration
- Identification proof (Aadhar Card)
- Photograph of Beneficiary
- Disability certificate (minimum disability should be 40%)
- Income Certificate (family income should be less than 15000 per month)
- Income certificate should have date of issue on it. (Mandatory)
- In most of the cases income certificate issued by revenue department itself contains validity of the certificate. In case validity is not indicated on certificate, 03 year from the date of issue is the validity of the income certificate.
- Certificates issued by non revenue department of the districts like local MP/MLA/Gram Pradhan has 06 month validity.
- BPL Card (in case Income certificate not available)

On the occasion of World Disability Day, CSC SPV and Artificial Limbs Manufacturing Corporation of India (ALIMCO) have partnered to facilitate Divyangs and Senior Citizens to get free rehabilitation aids form ALIMCO under various Government schemes. Registration at CSCs will be free of cost for Divyangs and Senior Citizens. Any Divyang can approach the nearest CSC who will register him/her for the support by ALIMCO. The district officials deputed by ALIMCO will identify the equipments required after examining the beneficiary. They will then enable the distribution of such aids as the case may be. CSC will also create the awareness about the scheme, mobilize and support such divyangs/senior citizens.
Objectives of Collaboration
• Sensitization and mobilization for various Government schemes for the welfare of Divyangs and Senior Citizens under ALIMCO
• To create a hassle-free system whereby any Divyang and senior citizen may register within the locality through CSCs for availing benefit of scheme of ALIMCO
• Generating data of potential beneficiaries at the district before conducting assessment camp to maximize resource utilization.
• To minimise the error of duplication of beneficiaries with the linkage of Aadhaar number.
Dr. Pramodh Seth, Joint Secretary, The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, appreciated the impact and progress made by Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) in the empowerment of Divyang in the country. He mentioned that Common Service Centres have played a significant role in Digital India initiatives of the Government.
He said, “The program was launched as a pilot basis in 5 districts of Uttar Pradesh with the help of CSC team. The main objective of today’s partnership is benefiting persons with disability by promoting, encouraging and developing the availability, use, supply and distribution of Artificial Limbs and other Rehabilitation Aids across the country.”
Shri D.R. Sarin, CMD, ALIMCO said, “ALIMCO, a “Not for Profit” Central Public Sector Undertaking working under the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment and has been manufacturing various types of quality aids for last 45 years to meet the requirements of Divyangs, across the country. ALIMCO has been serving on an average around two lakh of disabled population every year and has supplied 42 lakh of aids and appliances till date. With the help of CSC partnership, the true beneficiary will be benefitted. This is a free of cost service for Divyang. ALIMCO will pay commission to VLE for this service.”
Col PK Dubey, GM-ALIMCO said, “We have targeted 185 districts for the implementation of the program. More than one lakh Divyang will be benefitted with this partnership.”
Dr. Dinesh Kumar Tyagi, MD-CSC SPV said, “CSC rural entrepreneurs have the ability to revolutionize India by empowering Divyangs and providing opportunities for access of various government and other services to them. They are taking forward the agenda of the government in serving the underserved especially those living in the rural India. With the help of ALIMCO partnership, now, CSCs will be one stop shop for all the services for Divyangs and truly be the harbingers of change for them.”
